Why PMP

The credential that opens the shortlist

PMP is the most requested project management credential on earth. Here is what earning it actually changes.

You clear the filter

Recruiters screen on PMP before a human reads your CV. The credential is what gets your experience looked at rather than sorted out.

Predictive, agile and hybrid

The current Exam Content Outline is roughly half agile and hybrid. Prep that only teaches waterfall leaves you guessing on half the questions.

Contact hours that count

MPUG is a PMI Authorized Training Partner (REP #4082), so the 35 hours you need for eligibility come from training PMI recognizes.

Renewal starts here

PMP needs 60 PDUs every three years. Everything you take with us counts toward the next cycle, tracked automatically.

Why MPUG

Twenty-five years of teaching PMP

Not a course library someone bought. Instructors who do this work on live projects, and a member base that has been arguing about how it should be done since 1999.

Practitioners, not presenters

Instructors are working project professionals — authors, MVPs and specialists who still do this for a living and teach from what broke last quarter.

Learn live or at 11pm

Interactive sessions when you want to ask questions, and a 500+ class on-demand library for the weeks that get away from you.

PDUs handled for you

As a PMI Authorized Training Partner, credits report straight to your PMI account and every claim leaves an audit-ready certificate behind.

Somewhere to take the hard one

Bring the problem that is actually blocking you to a member community that has been arguing about project work since 1999.

Questions

Before you start

What are the PMP certification requirements?

Either a four-year degree with 36 months leading projects, or a secondary degree with 60 months leading projects. Both routes also require 35 hours of project management education, which this training provides.

How long does PMP training take?

Most candidates spread the 35 contact hours over several weeks alongside a full-time job, then add dedicated practice-exam time before sitting the exam.

Do these courses earn PDUs as well as contact hours?

Yes. Before you certify they count as the contact hours PMI requires; afterwards the same classes count toward the 60 PDUs each three-year renewal cycle needs.

Is PMP certification worth it?

PMI's own salary research consistently reports a meaningful premium for certified practitioners, and a large share of senior PM postings list it as required or preferred. It matters most when you are competing for roles rather than already in one.
