Why Confluence
Documentation that survives the project
Every organization has a Confluence nobody can navigate. The difference is structure decided up front rather than accreted over three years.
Structure before sprawl
Spaces and page hierarchy designed so a newcomer finds the decision log without asking anyone where it lives.
Templates that get used
Meeting notes, decision records and requirements as blueprints, so the format survives whoever is taking notes this week.
Linked to the work
Confluence and Jira together, so requirements, tickets and status stop drifting apart into three versions of the truth.
Governance you can defend
Permissions, archiving and ownership — what auditors ask for and what stops a wiki rotting.

Why MPUG
Twenty-five years of teaching Confluence
Not a course library someone bought. Instructors who do this work on live projects, and a member base that has been arguing about how it should be done since 1999.
Practitioners, not presenters
Instructors are working project professionals — authors, MVPs and specialists who still do this for a living and teach from what broke last quarter.
Learn live or at 11pm
Interactive sessions when you want to ask questions, and a 500+ class on-demand library for the weeks that get away from you.
PDUs handled for you
As a PMI Authorized Training Partner, credits report straight to your PMI account and every claim leaves an audit-ready certificate behind.
Somewhere to take the hard one
Bring the problem that is actually blocking you to a member community that has been arguing about project work since 1999.

Questions
Before you start
Do I need Jira to get value from Confluence training?
No, though a good part of the value is in linking the two. The structure, template and governance material stands on its own.
Is this for administrators or contributors?
Both. Space administration and permissions are admin topics; templates, documentation practice and collaboration are for anyone writing in it.
Does Confluence training earn PDUs?
Yes — it is PDU-eligible like the rest of the tool catalog, and credits report to your PMI account.
Can this help clean up an existing messy instance?
That is most of the audience. The structure and governance classes are built around reorganizing what already exists rather than starting fresh.
