Description:

Creating field notes comes from my own experience of deploying project server. In the past I wrote detailed notes and steps for installing and configuring project server. The problem was that each client had slightly different requirements and environments, and each time I went the process, I often missed minor details, such as creating additional TempDB for SQL server. My solution evolved to keeping my field notes in PowerShell scripts.

This session provides a road map for creating IT professionals their own field notes. Creating detail field notes is an effective way to maintain SharePoint and Project server and document is actually done during the installation and configuration. Including personal notes in your PowerShell scripts to provide explanation or instructions on doing tasks from UI. This session provides an overview PowerShell, provides a strategy for creating field notes and documenting SharePoint and project server.
