Jared Spataro, General Manager for Microsoft Office, and Ludovic Hauduc, Director of Development, kicked off Microsoft Project Conference 2014 in Anaheim, California with an opening keynote address announcing enhancements to Microsoft Project and showcased how it continues to evolve for modern business needs in collaboration, project and portfolio management.

In the first demo during Monday’s keynote presentation Microsoft highlighted the tight integration of Project with Office 365. “Finally, Project is a key part of Microsoft’s push to the cloud” said Rich Murphy of the EPK Group.

The keynote highlighted how moving Project to Office 365 with Project Online required a completely fresh look at the code base of Project and Project Server.   They had to seriously evaluate how the systems could handle the security and performance requirements of cloud based offerings with the result benefiting both cloud and on-premise customers.
