Connect Microsoft Project Desktop to Copilot and AI Agents for a Modern PMO

Microsoft Project Desktop schedules hold some of an organization’s most valuable project information, including milestones, dependencies, baselines, resource assignments, and critical path data. That information usually stays locked inside individual MPP files, out of reach for Microsoft 365 Copilot, project agents, and portfolio-level analytics.

In this session, Isidro Ávila of ProjectData.io will demonstrate PD Project AI, a Project MCP parser that securely reads Microsoft Project Desktop MPP files stored in OneDrive or SharePoint and makes their structured schedule data available to generative AI agents through the Model Context Protocol.

Project managers will see how an AI agent can use live schedule information to identify critical path changes, analyze milestone slippage, detect schedule quality problems, prepare status updates, evaluate change impacts, and answer detailed project questions in natural language.

PMO managers will learn how the same foundation can standardize schedule intelligence across multiple projects, combine Project Desktop schedules with SharePoint project records and Microsoft Planner execution data, surface cross-project dependencies, improve portfolio reporting, and support predictive analysis for senior leadership.
