I’m having a problem in Project Server 2013. If you go into the project and schedule, you see all the content based on what view setting you are on. When you go to Edit, In Browser, it takes off a few of those lines. This only happens in certain jobs but not all. It looks to be a filter problem but have verified it is not because it happens in views that do not have filters. Any information would be very helpful.
Wesley, is there any similarity in the tasks that don’t show up in edit mode? Are they inactive tasks?
Yes. There are 5 hours columns for budget work, actual work, remaining work, projected work and work variance. All 5 of those hours columns have to show “0” for that row to not show up.
Sorry Wesley but I have no idea why that would happen. Assuming that the PWA view you are looking at is from the Task table (instead of the Resource or Assignment table), there is no reason I can think of to not show these tasks. One question, does this happen on every PWA Project view that shows the Gantt Chart?
It is from the Task table under the Data section. It is not in every view. I thought it was originally but some are working.
Recreate one of the views that don’t work and see if that fixes the issue…??
We tried that as well and it didn’t work unfortunately.
OK, then it must have something to do with the view. What is different between a view that works and a view that doesn’t? Something has to be different that is making a view not work. I have no other suggestions for you without looking at it myself. Hopefully someone else has some thoughts. Something is different that makes one work and one not work, but I have no other suggestions without looking at it myself. Sorry about that.
