My assignment for my PM class is to created a network diagram using the information from an excel spread sheet. I am having issues with adding certain columns from excel to MP. The excel sheet has columns that MP does not recognize when I try to add a new column. For example, the excel spread sheet has duration (which is found in MP) and minimum duration (which is not). How do I go about adding new columns that MP doesn’t recognize or is that not a feature the software offers.
Jo, you can create custom fields by going to the Project ribbon, Custom Fields. Select Type Duration, rename, and you should be good to go. Hope this helps.
