  Hi,
  Project reports are OK but i wish to add and store free format comments – simple text and then report it against each task.
  
  is there a way i can do this ??

  Bob, first I’m assuming you are talking about the new “Reports” menu that is new with Project 2013. You can add the notes field or any task text field to a report table. The Notes field is under the Other section and Text custom fields are under Other / Custom. Hope that helps…
