I tried to setup the calendar and got this error … Project Web App 2016 preview feature requires at least MS IE 8.0.

I am using IE 8.0 and expect to get IE 11 soon.

I have sync’d in resources and have added ONE project to my PWA instance.

I have now read in the MS ProjectExpert Admin book that you should configure your organization’s enterprise calendar and create new base calendars before adding resources or projects.

Do i need to remove all resources including generic ones I created and the one projects? This does not seem logical given you should be able to create a new calendar or edit the enterprise std one any time.

      Guidance is needed … Thanks
      John

If you will be using the out of box standard calendar you shouldn’t have to worry. You can set it up when you can.

      Larry,

      Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes at the moment the resources and projects are all US ones.

However, I will be adding in India GOC resources. When I import the India GOC team, I plan to switch them to the India calendar via Bulk Edit. Does it matter whether the India calendar is setup before I load the resources?

      thanks
      John

John, I haven’t tried it but calendars and resources will change continually and I’ve never heard of any problems on what you are trying to do. Best I can give you, but not everyone reads the golden book and they build calendars just fine. I would assume the dependency is all about process and not constraint. Good luck…
