Defining Outline Level for Custom View

I have a custom view which calls a custom table and custom filter. How can I define the WBS outline level(s) that I want the view to display? Custom filters apply to the preceding view so if the preceding view had fewer levels than I want, the filter won’t reveal all the levels I need. It seems like the Table definition is the place to define the required WBS levels, but I can’t figure out how to do it there.
