Event Description:

Project managers and PMOs use Earned Value Management (EVM) to assess project performance and to forecast results. But what about assessing the performance of programs and portfolios? What about forecasting their results?

This presentation demonstrates how to combine EVM indicators to collectively evaluate multiple projects and programs. In addition, I describe recent success in using generative artificial intelligence to interpret EVM indices and forecasts for not only individual projects, but also programs and portfolios.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand how to use Earned Value Management to review the performance of programs and portfolios.
  • Learn how generative artificial intelligence provides managers and directors with capabilities to recognize trends and forecast results for programs and portfolios.
