How can I shade a time period on the Gantt Chart.

So for example I’m doing a plan to run throughout the year but I’d like to shade a couple of 2 week periods for the Olympics and Paralympics so I can see at a glance which of my tasks will be taking place during these times. 

I don’t want to fudge it using non working time shades etc.

You can use “draw” under “tools” to insert a rectangle in the Gantt bar area.  Then right-click the rectangle, select “order”, and select “send to back”.
