Project Server 2010 Import of an 2007 MPP file with Enterprise Resources creates unwanted duplicate local resources.
Is there a Microsoft 2007 –> 2010 utility to migrate project plans?
Some Project 21010 User Documentation states: The default behavior of the Import Project Wizard in Project Server 2010 is to leave local resources on in-progress tasks (tasks with Actual Work but Remaining Work > 0), even when you match the local resources to an enterprise resource. The Wizard does correctly transfer completed tasks [?] and upstarted tasks [?] to the mapped enterprise resources.
Is there a work-around for this?
Should we use an automated process to transfer all our 2007 plans into 2010? This is a one-time transition of migrating from 2007 to 2010 for our organization. Does this exist? I know there was a 2003 –> 2007 utility from Microsoft. Is there a Microsoft 2007 –> 2010 utility to migrate project plans?
Thanks, Rob
