Project 2010 crashes when attempting to open the timeline

  Hello,
  
  I am using Project 2010 connected to Project Server 2010. Project crashes when I attempt to open the timeline view either by checking the timeline checkox or by right-clicking a task to add it to the timeline. Has anyone seen this issue? Is their a solution or work around? Thanks for your help.
