I’ve created a custom View Definition that contains a standard table, the ‘Status’ Group, and a custom filter which is just a copy of the Date Range… filter with the exception of a couple word changes.

When the View is copied to the Global and then used in a separate project file, the custom filter doesn’t maintain its relationship/assignment with the View, but the table and the group do. The filter reverts back to All Tasks.  I can sometimes get the Date Range filter to show up, but the specific dates aren’t able to be selected.

      Is this a bug?

      Using v2010

Open both projects and copy all relevant tables, filters, views, etc. directly between projects. No need to use Global.

Thanks for the response. And I believe that solution works. However, I am trying to share the custom view with other people so they can use it in their project schedules. Some of them have to manage A LOT of schedules.  Copying the view/table/filter/group over separately for each one of their projects would be a pain in the @$$, and as a result they probably won’t end up doing it and using it. I was hoping copying it over to their global would be the easy/quick solution

Scratch my previous response.  Still no luck when copying a view using the Date Range filter between two separate projects.
